Relics of St. Padre Pio

St. Mary Cathedral is blessed to host the Relics of St. Padre Pio on May 1, 2019 from 9:00 AM to 7:30 PM.  Mass will be celebrated by Bishop Rice at 12:15 PM.  The Sacrament of Reconciliation will take place between 5 and 7 PM.

ST MARY’S HELPING AT IRONTON, LESTERVILLE AND VIBURNUM, MO    Fr. Victor will be living at Ste Marie duLac Parish in Ironton while Fr. Jim Unterreiner is on his leave of absence.    Fr. Allan will  also be acting as Administrator for the parish.  He will be  working at Ironton parish office, Wednesday, March 27th.    We appreciate your prayers and understanding as our parish priests help other parishes in need.

Many many thanks to Ford and Sons Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau for providing the space to place the new Walk-In Cooler for the Catholic Social Ministries Food Pantry.   SEMO Food Bank donated the walk in cooler so we can keep refrigerated items safely.

Ever wonder what our High School Students do when they are performing Service Hours for Confirmation?  Here is a list!   Service Hours help us recognized how important our place is in our parish community and how much we are needed in our parish community!  There was a variety of service things the High School Confirmation class did over the past several months before being Confirmed.  Each student had to complete 9 hours of service, three of which were with their sponsor.  This year over 297 hours were completed by the Confirmation Class!   Sang at nursing homes   &n...

Celebrating 150 Years!

St Mary Cathedral Parish celebrates 150 years as a parish this entire year.  We are beginning the year with our Parish Anniversary Prayer which you can download and read here.  There are copies in the church pews and we'll prayer this every Sunday before Mass begins for the entire year. Masses for the Feast  Day of Mary, the Holy Mother of God on will be Monday, January 1, 2018  at 7:00, 8:30 and 10:30 AM.   There will be NO vigil Mass Sunday evening. Because the Feast falls on a Monday this year it is not obligatory in the United States.  But it is a wonderful way to begin the New Year by going to Mass.  The Parish Office will be closed Monday, January 1, 2018.

Divine Mercy Novena
